Personal TrainersDave Martin
I was born outside of Toronto in Richmond Hill but I have lived in Waterloo for the majority of my life. Ever since I was in grade school I have always been involved in sports. In my youth like everybody else I played hockey as well as baseball and basketball. I also took up golf and tennis as recreational sports. When high school came around I started to play football, basketball and rugby for Sir John A MacDonald where I received the top male graduating athlete award. After high school I choose rugby as my main sport playing for Waterloo County RFC and the University of Waterloo's men's varsity rugby team. Alongside playing competitive rugby I became certified as a level 1 tennis instructor. As you can see sports and fitness has always been a huge part of my life. As I was participating in these sports I found a passion for training and working out. As a result I engaged in many different types of training and eventually this interest led me to become a personal trainer. This interest also led me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo where I have currently completed 2 years of study. I am very excited to be a part of the CLHC team and be able to work with such a dedicated group of professionals. I look forward to working with members to help them achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about training and fitness.
