Personal TrainersDanielle Vandyk My name is Danielle and my hometown is Kitchener. Growing up I participated in many activities including basketball, volleyball, soccer and rugby and I spent my high school years training competitively in judo. My love for fitness developed through sport. I pursued an honours degree in kinesiology co-op locally at the University of Waterloo.
I have always been involved in the health industry and I began as a judo instructor at the age of 16. Through co-op, I have been able to work as a kinesiologist in a long term care facility, sports medicine clinic and a community health center. Each placement posed different obstacles to health and fitness. During such placements, I had the opportunity to train and rehabilitate severely mentally and physically handicapped adults, injured athletes and industrial workers, and special populations including those with diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
I hope to continue in the health profession as a physiotherapist. I am always available to answer any questions about my experiences or any concerns you may have.
